 JAMES F. BERRY NAMED VP-GENERAL MANAGER OF C-17 PROGRAM
 AT DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT
 LONG BEACH, Calif., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- James F. Berry has been appointed vice president-general manager, C-17 program and will serve as deputy for Government Programs at the Douglas Aircraft division of McDonnell Douglas (NYSE: MD).
 Berry, who most recently served as vice president-general manager, production for the C-17 program, will be in charge of day-to-day internal operations for the C-17 and serve as deputy to David O. Swain, who continues in his position as executive vice president, Government Segment for Douglas.
 "In his new position, Jim will ensure that the C-17 program is fully integrated, the right balance between each of the C-17 functions is achieved, and the program has a smooth transition from development to production," Swain said.
 Berry joined McDonnell Douglas in July 1991 after serving with Northrop Corp. as vice president of Operations for the B-2 advanced technology bomber.
 Previously, Berry served with Rockwell International's Space Division, where he was operations director of the Space Shuttle Columbia.
 He has a master's degree from Pepperdine University and is a member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers.
