JAM POSTS PROFIT FOR FIRST QUARTER 1992
 ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- J.A.M., Inc., a Rochester-

based multimedia communications company, has announced its unaudited operating results for the first quarter of 1992. First quarter performance shows a profit of $2,866 as compared to a loss of $54,868 for the corresponding quarter in 1991. Sales for the first quarter totaled $292,968, an increase of $26,871 over sales of $266,097 for the same period a year ago. Company profits were due to a reduction in operating expenses and increased gross profits.
The first quarter figures show an increase in net sales of 10 percent compared to the same period in 1991. Sales increases were due in part to several new computer-based training development efforts and an increase in revenues from video production/post-production services. The company also generated new sales from two off-the-shelf training products developed by its Global Health and Safety Division in 1991. The Biological Safety Series and the Asbestos Training Series are currently being marketed throughout the United States.
JAM designs and produces a diverse range of training and video programs for both commercial and government clients. Services include instructional design and training program development; computer-based instruction; software design and programming for interactive videodisc applications, and video production and post production.
Corporate offices, development facilities and video production studios are located at 300 Main St., East Rochester, NY.
