JAGGER'S GENEROUS GESTURE.

VETERAN rocker Mick Jagger has come to the aid of Irish heart patients.

He has contributed a rare recording to a star-studded auction in Galway next week.

Jagger donated a limited edition audio visual CD, which has been signed by the Rolling Stones, to the annual auction for heart charity Croi.

And news that the recording will go under the hammer has already created a stir among Rolling Stones fans throughout Britain.

The approach to Jagger was made by Croi patron Irish actor Gabriel Byrne, whose mother benefited from their heart facilities.

For a number of years, Byrne has lobbied his Hollywood friends to get merchandise.

Last year, several hundred thousand pounds were raised from the sale of movie and TV props such as heart-throb George Clooney's surgical scrubs from ER, and Sean Connery's jacket from action thriller The Rock.

EastEnders actress Deborah Sheridan- Taylor, who plays Saskia, will be one of many soap stars and celebrities who are attending the glitzy black tie event tomorrow week.
