JACOR ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT, NEW LEADERSHIP

 CINCINNATI, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- JACOR COMMUNICATIONS, INC., (OTC Bulletin Board - JCOR), announced today that Terry S. Jacobs, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, has retired. Mr. Jacobs will continue to serve the company under a four-year consulting agreement which takes effect immediately, and as a director.
 Jacor further announced that operating leadership will continue through a newly-created Executive Office of the President, consisting of Randy Michaels, President and Co-Chief Operating Officer, and Robert Lawrence, Co-Chief Operating Officer.
 Mr. Jacobs said, "Building Jacor and the more recent process of guiding the company through financial turbulence and back to stability have been gratifying but exhausting experiences. I'm pleased to declare victory and hand the reins to the management I'm proud to have built. Jacor is in excellent hands, and has strong prospects."
 The company also announced that David M. Schulte, a partner of the Zell/Chilmark Fund, has been named Chairman. Zell/Chilmark currently holds approximately 93 percent of Jacor's common stock.

We wish him the best of luck, and are delighted to have continued access to Terry as a consultant," said Mr. Schulte.
 Jacor Communications, Inc., headquartered in Cincinnati, currently owns 11 radio stations, a cable television system and the Georgia Network. The company also operates three additional stations through time brokerage agreements in two of its markets. The company's stations are located in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Denver, Jacksonville, Knoxville and Tampa.
