 JACOBS SELECTED FOR A $60 MILLION ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANUP PROGRAM
 BY U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS
 PASADENA, Calif., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it has been selected by the U.S. Army, Sacramento District, Corps of Engineers for cleanup and monitoring of potential and existing hazardous, toxic and radiological waste at military sites in six Western states. The program is valued at a $60 million ceiling.
 The anticipated contract is for a one-year period with options to renew for two additional years.
 As a part of this program, Jacobs will provide a wide range of environmental remediation technical services.
 Work will include field investigations, surveying and mapping, preparation of reports and design documents for asbestos surveys, cleanup of contaminated soil and groundwater, removal and transportation of contaminated debris, installation of groundwater monitoring wells as well as surface water and soils sampling and analysis. Jacobs will also provide engineering management, contract maintenance services during cleanup activities, environmental permit applications, preparation of environmental documentation, and related studies and designs for water-quality protection, storage-tank leak detection, and air-emissions control.
