JACOBS RECEIVES $8 MILLION TASK ORDER TO CLEAN UP CASTLE AIR FORCE BASE

 PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received an $8 million task order to provide remedial investigation/feasibility study (RI/FS) activities at Castle AFB, Calif. This work will be performed under Jacobs' umbrella contract with the U.S. Air Force Center of Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) which covers environmental restoration services at Air Force bases throughout the United States.
 On this three-year task, Jacobs will work in four areas of the base. Three areas involve groundwater remediation, and the fourth involves 98 surface and near-surface contamination sources.
 Jacobs will prepare work plans and formulate remedial approaches for groundwater and vadose zone contamination.
 In other work under the AFCEE umbrella contract, Jacobs is working at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska; Eielson AFB, Alaska; Vandenberg AFB, Calif.; Carswell AFB, Texas; Edwards AFB, Calif.; and McClellan AFB, Calif.
