JACOBS ENGINEERING/ROBERT E. MCKEE WINS RAIL CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION CONTRACT

 PASADENA, Calif., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that Robert E. McKee, a subsidiary, has been selected as one of three firms to provide system-wide construction management services for the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission (LACTC). This contract is for a five-year period, and work will be performed on a Contract Work Order Basis.
 The purpose of these contracts is to provide construction management services on special projects for the Rail Construction Corp. (RCC), with an immediate focus on retrofits on the Metro Blue/Red Lines to meet the mandates of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
 This work is part of the 30-year, multibillion dollar, multimodal transportation system designed to meet the needs of Southern California commuters.
 Andrew E. Carlson, president of McKee and a group vice president of parent Jacobs Engineering, stated that "This is the second major award to our company from the RCC (the first, a Central Maintenance Complex for the Green Line in Hawthorne, Calif.). It represents another key step in our commitment to support the Los Angeles metropolitan area in the development of their rail transportation network." Jacobs is headquartered in Pasadena and is looking forward to continuing its support of the RCC on the upcoming Metro Pasadena Line Construction Management Project.
