JACOBS BROADENS NUCLEAR ENGINEERING AND WASTE MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES

 PASADENA, Calif., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that its acquisition of Humphreys and Glasgow Process Contracting Ltd. (H&G) greatly enhances Jacobs' ability to provide technical support services to both the commercial and government sectors of the nuclear industry.
 H&G's experience in nuclear engineering applications began in the pioneering days of the 1950s. Currently, H&G's efforts focus on facility commissioning and decommissioning, nuclear fuel reprocessing, waste packaging, robotics, solidification and encapsulation in the United Kingdom. Roger Williams, Jacobs senior vice president, commented that "The acquisition of H&G represents a key step in Jacobs' program for providing engineering services to the U.S. Department of Energy's nuclear waste management and environmental restoration programs as well as to the commercial nuclear power industry." Jacobs is currently performing environmental and engineering services to many of the Department of Energy's major sites.
 H&G and its associated operations have a professional resource base of some 850 employees including more than 150 nuclear specialists at its engineering and design operations in Croydon, Glasgow and Stockport in the United Kingdom. The company services major clients in England, such as British Nuclear Fuels Ltd., as well as clients in Scotland, the Middle East, Canada, China, Eastern Europe and the Far East.
 In addition to its nuclear engineering capability, H&G is recognized as one of the United Kingdom's foremost process contractors with specialized expertise in steam/naphtha reforming and ethylene, ammonia, methanol, methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) and water treatment.
