JACOBS AWARDED ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION PROGRAM SUPPORT CONTRACT

 OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it has been awarded a $91 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Oak Ridge Operations Office, to provide technical support services for the Environmental Restoration (ER) Program. Team subcontractors to Jacobs include Lockwood Greene Technologies Inc.; Geraghty & Miller Inc.; PAI Corp.; United Science Industries; University of Tennessee; and Solutions to Environmental Problems Inc.
 The goal of DOE's ER Program is to remediate inactive sites and facilities at various locations throughout the Oak Ridge Reservation, the Paducah and Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plants and the Center for Energy and Environmental Research. Jacobs' 2.5-million-hour contract will include preparation of regulatory documentation that meets the integrated requirements of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The contract has a three-year base period with a two-year option. The majority of the work will be performed from Jacobs' Oak Ridge office with some site-specific work performed in Paducah, Ky.; Portsmouth, Ohio; and Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
