 JACOBS AWARDED CONTRACT WITH THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS
 PASADENA, Calif., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it will perform services with a ceiling of $10 million on a contract with the Tulsa, Okla., District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Jacobs will provide engineering services for the investigation of 17 inactive landfills at the Department of Energy's Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas.
 The announcement was made by Jacobs' Senior Vice President Roger L. Williams who said the two-year contract could be extended three more years, based on the amount of additional work required to clean up the landfill sites. The cleanup requirements are part of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
 Jacobs' scope includes a work plan and investigation of the landfills which includes the sampling and testing of soil and water at the sites. This information will be used to chart the direction of remediation efforts at the Pantex Nuclear Weapons Plant site.

 Jacobs has been at work at the Pantex site for the past two years in support of environmental safety and health tasks related to ongoing plant operations. "We are particularly pleased to have been selected by the Corps for this contract, our fourth at the Pantex Plant since 1990," said Williams.
