 JACOBS AWARDED CONTRACT WITH LYONDELL PETROCHEMICAL
 HOUSTON, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc.


(NYSE: JEC) announced today that its J.E. Merit Construction subsidiary has received a contract to perform capital construction projects within operating process units at Lyondell Petrochemical Co.'s (NYSE: LYO) Houston refinery.
 Don Boutwell, Group vice president of J.E. Merit Constructors Inc., Jacobs' construction subsidiary, stated, "We look forward to a long-term association with Lyondell. The signing of this contract represents the beginning of our effort to perform construction projects for Lyondell at its Houston-area facilities. We anticipate that over the next several years, our services to Lyondell will become a much larger portion of their capital construction budget."
