JACOBS AWARDED $7 MILLION DEBOTTLENECKING PROJECT BATON ROUGE, La., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering
Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) today announced the award of a $7 million Methanol Debottlenecking Project with Ashland Chemical. Jacobs will provide engineering and construction services to increase the capacity of Ashland Chemical's Methanol plant at Plaquemine, La., to 171 million gallons per year.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early summer with completion in fall 1992. This award continues a six-year relationship with Ashland Chemical, for whom Jacobs provides ongoing professional and field services at Ashland facilities throughout the Gulf Coast. Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., headquartered in Pasadena, Calif., provides single-source environmental and hazardous waste management, consulting, engineering, design, architectural, construction, construction management, contract maintenance and operations services to government and industry worldwide.
