J.P. REILLY ELECTED TO BRUNSWICK BOARD

 LAKE FOREST, Ill., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Brunswick Corp. (NYSE: BC) announced today that J.P. "Jack" Reilly, 50, has been elected to the company's board of directors. Reilly joined Brunswick Corp. as its president and chief operating officer, effective Oct. 15, 1993. He previously had served as president of Lincolnshire, Illinois-based Tenneco Automotive, a global manufacturer of automotive parts. He also serves as a director of Trinova Corp.
 The addition of Reilly to the Brunswick board of directors brings the total number of directors to 11.
 Headquartered in Lake Forest, Brunswick Corp. is a multinational company with leadership positions in marine power, pleasure boating and recreation. Its stock is traded on the New York, Tokyo, London, Pacific and Chicago stock exchanges.
