Its official: First born daughter of Wills-Kat will accede to throne!

London, Oct 22 (ANI): Under an agreement to be struck between Commonwealth leaders next week, the first-born daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be able to accede to the throne ahead of her brothers.

According to ministers, the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting next week in Perth, Australia, will agree to change the Act of Settlement and other ancient laws dictating the succession, the Telegraph reported.

Under the rules of primogeniture, any male child born to the Duke would become the King even if he had an older sister.

The British Prime Minister, David Cameron, said that the old rules should be changed, but since the British monarch remains head of state in 16 other Commonwealth countries, they all would have to agree any change.

Cameron wrote this month to fellow Commonwealth leaders describing the succession rules as "an anomaly" that should be ended. (ANI)
