Italian delegation bringing together more than 150 Companies visits Cairo.

In a step towards increasing Italian investments in the Egyptian market before the Economic Summit, ALEXBANK Intesa Sanpaolo (a member of Intesa Sanpaolo Group) held a business dinner for the Egyptian-Italian business mission, which welcomes more than 150 Italian companies and in the presence of Mr. Carlo Calenda, the Italian Vice Minister of Economic Development , Mr. Maurizo Massari, Italian Ambassador and Mr. Marcello Salla, executive vice chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo group and co-chairman of the Italian Egyptian business council.

President Abdel Fatah Al Sisis met with the Italian business delegation .The business delegation met as well with a number of Egyptian ministers including Monir Fakhry, Minister of Trade and Industry, Ashraf Salman, Minister of Investment, Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy and Naglaa Elahwany, Minister of International Cooperation.

A number of bilateral investment opportunities were discussed, particularly in the field of renewable energy, in which Italy enjoys leading expertise, in addition to investment opportunities in various fields within the Suez Canal project such as infrastructure, oil and gas and SME.
