It doesn't add up; MAILBAG.

GOVERNMENT figures suggest that applications to the Workers Registration Scheme, to which nationals from eastern Europe have to apply to work in Britain, have dropped by half in the past twelve months.

In 2008-09, 66,000 eastern European workers left Britain. Yet I don't see the headlines of the tabloids saying shock "EU Migrants leave Britain". No, figures are only sensationalised in such a way to cause alarm amongst the population about immigrants while appealing to the lowest common denominator. No wonder the debate on immigration is plagued with hysteria and paranoia.
