It Asda be love!

MOST men wouldn't dare propose to their girlfriend in a supermarket.

But for one couple it was the perfect romantic setting on Valentine's Day.

Dai Rees, 50, popped the question to Nicola Blower, 49, at the spot where they met 32 years ago, on the site of the Asda store in Whitley.

WEDDING Nicola The couple, who live in Nuneaton, first met when the store was the former Whitley Hospital and were both training to be radiographers.

But they didn't become a couple until three years ago - when their paths crossed again by chance at George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton.

Dai went down on one knee in aisle 7 - where Asda staff who were in on the secret had set up a table with flowers, champagne and chocolates with the Michael Buble song, Feeling Good, playing in the background. Dai said: "I told Nicola I needed a few things from Asda and took her to aisle 7. Then our song came on and I got down on one knee. She started shaking but said yes TOAST: and Dai straight away.

"Nicola had no idea - she was stunned."
