It's the real thing when it comes to Coke ad.

DIET Coke's Just for the Taste of It promotion was today voted the most catchy advertising jingle of all time.

Nearly one-in-five Britons questioned put the ditty, first used in 1982, ahead of R Whites classic Secret Lemonade Drinker.

Flake's Crumbliest Flakiest Chocolate, which played over suggestive pictures of women eating the Cadbury's sweet, was voted the third most recognisable tune.

One in 10 Britons said the long-running A Mars A Day Helps You Work, Rest and Play jingle was the catchiest advert.

Quality Street's Magic Moments was the fifth most recognisable jingle, according to the survey of 2,000 people conducted for phones 4u.

The Just for the Taste of It promotion helped Diet Coke bosses complete one of the most successful product launches ever in the early 1980s.

It was revived in the mid-1990s after sales of the soft drink lost their fizz.
