Cove Rangers............1 Partick Thistle............0

Paul Hartley insists there's no better way to win a match after Cove snatched three points at the death.

The game went ahead in awful conditions and Rory McAllister finally broke the deadlock with just seconds to spare.

Cove boss Harley said: "I think credit has to go to both sets of players today.

"It really was one of the worst conditions I have ever seen for a game of football.

"I was happy with a point but there's no better way to win a game."

Thistle nearly won it themselves when Brian Graham's late shot beat keeper Stuart McKenzie but Harry Milne cleared it off the line.

They paid the price minutes later when sub McAllister flicked the ball round Kieran Wright for Cove to maintain their perfect League One start.

Jags boss Ian McCall said: "It was a horrible game for both teams. We dominated most of the second half but handed them a goal."
