It's going down to the wire and we must step it up.
WELL it's fast approaching the business end of the season; it will be over before we know it. I am writing this before Wednesday's home game against Edinburgh where two points were a must.
We now embark on a massive weekend with two tough games, on the road to Cardiff and home to Nottingham where two big wins are needed.
Although there are a few trophies up for grabs throughout the season, the one that really matters is the league title. This season has been one of the tightest for years with no one team able to put any distance between them and the chasing pack. Unlike the last couple of seasons this one is going to go down to the wire and we must play every game like it's a 'Game Seven'!
Our performances of late have not been good enough. You know it and more importantly, we know it. Although we've managed to scrape out wins, the manner in which we've done so has been frustrating.
It's been a hard season so far and we've suffered some major injuries to key players. Playing short is nothing new in hockey with most teams having to suffer at some point throughout the season. But this is when we need you to get behind us the most and give us that extra bit of energy we need.
Talking of getting behind us, as you're probably all aware it's my room mate and good friend Thomas Brynley Watkins' testimonial year. I can't think of another player past or present who deserves one more. So clear your diary on the 24th of February and get yourself down to the Skydome if not for Bryners then maybe just to have a laugh at Peasee trying to lug the puck to the red line.
Enjoy the rest of the season. Hopefully we'll be parading that league trophy in front of you all come March.
