It's dam silly planning.

DURING the Second World War, the RAF destroyed every manner of buildings by blowing up dams.

Why, then, would people in Whaley Bridge build a town under a dam? Or, why would you build a dam over a town? Someone needs to be held to account, if the dam gives way, all the people who lose property should get full market value of all that is lost.

They should not have to rely on their own insurance, the planners, council, builders and property developers should foot any bill, if for no other reason than stupidity and greed.
