It's Rag time for Poly students.

HUDDERSFIELD Polytechnic students are pictured at the start of a town centre bath and bed push for charity.

Various modes of transport wound their way from St George's Square down to the Queensgate campus as students collected money and sold the year's magazine, Rainbow Rag.

It was the first of many fund-raising events that took part during rag week.

It kicked-off with a 24-hour scavenger hunt collecting specific items on a prepared list.

This was followed by a fancy-dress three-legged pub crawl setting off from the main campus, before a Wild West night with mechanical rodeo bull in the Great Hall.

After that, the Union building hosted a Crazy Beach Party with music from Sweet Melody, and rag week finished with cash collections in town and a disco in the Union Building.
