Issue of caricature being raised with responsibility at all important forums: Faisal Vawda.
ISLAMABAD -- Member National Assembly (MNA), Faisal Vawda on Tuesday said the issue of caricatures was hurting the sentiments of Muslim Ummah and it was being raised with responsibility at all important forums.
Talking to a private news channel, he said all the Muslims respect other religions and wanted equal response for their religion too.
No one was allowed to play with sentiments of Muslim Ummah on the matter of Mohammad (Peace be Upon Him), the last Prophet of this universe, he added.
No one should undermine or under-estimate the power of the Muslim Ummah, but Islam teaches and promotes tolerance, he said.
Sardar Latif Khosa, senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), said the issue of caricature could disrupt the equilibrium of the earth.
He was of the view that a comprehensive policy should be evolved by Muslim Ummah for highlighting the matter of caricature at United Nation and other world forums so that in future, such objectionable activities against Muslims could be avoided.
