Israeli Troops Tear down E1 Protest Camp for Fourth Time.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Israeli forces tore down on Sunday a protest camp Palestinian activists set up in E1 area East of Jerusalem for the fourth time in a week.

A spokesman of the popular resistance committees of East Jerusalem neighborhoods Hani Halibiyya told Ma'an that a bulldozer accompanied by Israeli military vehicles stormed the protest camp "Gate to Jerusalem" at 4:30 am and demolished a room made of bricks which activists built on Friday.

In addition, the bulldozer demolished a big tent made of fabric and steel pipes.

Halabiyya added that Israeli troops confiscated all the properties they found in the place.

He added that Israeli forces also tore down tents which activists set up in another neighborhood East of Jerusalem known as Umm al-Shakhalib.

Activists, he said, are preparing to rebuild Gate to Jerusalem for a fifth time.

The camp was built in protest against an Israeli plan to build Jewish-only settlements in E1 corridor East of Jerusalem on the way to Jericho where Palestinian Bedouins have been dwelling for decades.
