Israel : NEW AGREEMENT led to 6% Salary Hike for the staff of DIMONA NUCLEAR REACTOR.

On Wednesday, the Histadrut, the Israeli General Federation of Labor, has inked a wage-deal with the Nuclear Research Center Negev (NRCM) and auxiliary divisions, resulting in increase in salaries of the employees. They will get the new wages in two segments from next February.

The agreement has caused a 6% increase in salary of the Dimona nuclear reactor s staff.

The Engineering Association chairman Yitzhak Steiner stated, "I welcome the agreement. After protracted negotiations the sides have agreed a fitting salary for the company's employees and support units."

The Chairman of NRCM staff committee Shalom Simla opined, "This is a worthy agreement for employees following years in which workers did not receive a salary rise. Now after long talks with management all employees will receive a 6% hike."
