Islands.

Art on a heroic scale, political responses to current art forms, and the evolution of a major work of art, all come together in this remarkable documentation of Christo's development and the resolution of one of his signature pieces in Florida in 1986. The tape illustrates Christo's process in conceiving, developing, producing and resolving one of his aesthetic presentations by documenting his efforts and eventual accomplishment at surrounding three islands with plastic aprons. Onlookers enjoy insights into the mind of an artist and the social conventions and political manipulations confronted. This is quite a story and one both adolescents and adults should experience.
