Is Wagner a false dawn?

Is Wagner a false dawn? ARE we Town fans witnessing yet another sad false dawn with the arrival of Mr Wagner? Yes, we are playing a more attractive brand of football than under the previous manager, but sadly the actual results - Birmingham away excepted - are much the same as they were before.

We all know our chairman well enough by now to realise that he is not about to loosen the purse strings, even after the recent publication in this newspaper which clearly demonstrated plenty going into the coffers with only embarrassingly small, laughable, amounts coming out.

The upcoming fixture list looks very scary to this realist and the prospect of a cheaper season ticket next year is small compensation to possibly watching lower division football.

I for one believe that Chris Powell without having players sold against the grain and with a modest PS4m or PS5m spent would now see Town in a far rosier position.

I pray nightly that I am wrong.
