Irish banks stand to lose close to EUR6.3bn from their exposure to the Greek economy.

Analysts believe that the exposure might become vulnerable if there is any debt restructuring. According to the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), Ireland-based banks had total claims of EUR6.3bn on the Greek economy.

This includes a range of instruments, including bonds, loans and other assets that are reflected on Irish banks' balance sheets.
