Irish Mirror Comment: Omagh must have justice.
The initial enquiry has taken 11 months and scores of officers working around the clock on both sides of the border.
Now the RUC man co-ordinating the investigation in the north has revealed they know exactly who is responsible for the deaths of 29 people and maiming of hundreds.
But it's not just a matter of picking up the thug who drove the explosives-laden car into the busy town centre.
This was not a one-man operation.
It involved scores of people - intelligence agents, planners, co-ordinators, bomb-makers and, of course, someone callous and stupid enough to finally deliver the bomb to its final destination.
Yes, it must be frustrating to know who this scum is and not have them behind bars yet.
But the public would rather the RUC and Gardai took another year and nail the entire killer gang for good, than rush the investigation and watch them get off on a technicality.
