VICTORIA Smurfit may not need the money.

But she has put a lot of effort into being an actress.

It's an art form that requires intelligence, devotion and dedication.

No wonder she's annoyed to see glamour girls who made their names as singers walk into plum parts.

Especially since their musical talents weren't up to much either.

It must be equally galling for good professional musicians to see groups who can hardly get a chord out of guitar becoming millionaires.

That's life, Victoria. Nobody said the game was fair.
