Irene's disco to aid charity.

A COVENTRY grandmother is holding a 1960s disco night to raise the final sum of sponsorship money towards a 60km charity walk.

Irene Mills, of Heritage Drive, Longford, hopes to raise pounds 1,000 at the event at Macdonald Brandon Hall Hotel & Spa, in Brandon, on Friday, September 1.

The 55-year-old mum-of-four, who has one grandchild, is taking part in the Aviva Weekend Walk to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, in Birmingham, on September 23 and 24.

She needs to raise pounds 1,500 for the charity walk and has so far collected about pounds 500.
