Iraq,Malaysia : HO HUP CONSTRUCTION seals USD 86 million turnkey project deal in IRAQ.

Ho Hup Construction Company Bhd has secured a deal worth MYR 267 million meant for the drawing and implementation of civil as well as electro-mechanical works for the Al Zuhour Water Project in Iraqi capital Baghdad.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works has granted the 10,000 cubic meters per hour capacity turnkey project to the company.

The turnkey project s scope of work will also comprise the delivery and setting up of paraphernalia and pipeline on top of operation as well as preservation.

The company aims to start the project construction in next month, which is likely to be finished within a 30-month period (up to February 2015) with another 12 months of maintenance phase for the mechanical, electrical as well as transmission piping.

The contractor-- Ho Hup, during the accomplishment of the deal, will assume the responsibility of the chief contractor and will employ as well as work jointly with Iraq s well-known sub-contractors intended for the implementation of the project and raising required funds for the same.
