Iraq's prime minister receives Qatar's foreign minister.

Baghdad, May 22 (BNA): Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi and visiting Qatari Foreign Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met in the Iraqi capital Baghdad. The talks addressed bilateral relations and regional developments and the war against the Daesh terror group, Kuwiat News Agency (KUNA) report, citing an official statement. The Iraqi troops have been achieving victories against Daesh and are approaching a final triumph, Al Abadi said, urging further cooperation among all countries to defeat terrorism. The Qatari chief diplomat called for promoting bilateral ties and stressed the necessity of joint action to counter the challenges facing the region. He also reiterated support for Iraq in its fight against terror. The foreign minister handed Al Abadi an invitation from Qatar's Amir Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to visit the Qatari capital Doha.
