Iranian, Lebanese Academicians to Share Experiences in Environment Protection Arena.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Researchers from the Iranian University of Environment and the University of Lebanon are to implement joint environmental projects.

Chancellor of the Iranian University Asqar Mohammadi Fazel and his counterpart from Lebanon University Adnan Seyed Hussein signed an agreement to boost their cooperation in offering expertise training courses, implementation of joint projects and exchange of university students and scholars.

Fazel said, in the meeting, the visit of the Iranian delegation to Lebanon was aimed at boosting cooperation between Iran and Lebanese research and academic centers.

In June 2013, Seyed Hussein appreciated Iran's initiative in expanding academic exchanges and scientific and technical cooperation with Lebanon.

The Lebanese academician referred to the opening of a Persian Language and Literature Department at the Lebanon University as a good sign of bilateral academic cooperation in his Saturday meeting with Iran's former Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi.

The president of Lebanese university referred to signing of memoranda of understanding with many Iranian universities and research centers and said these documents show determination in the two countries to develop bilateral scientific and technological cooperation.
