Iran Lambasts Proliferators of Chemical Weapons.

Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad lashed out at those countries which produce chemical weapons to kill human beings and plunder their wealth.

"Those who make chemical weapons and know that the bomb is the most painful method to kill human beings have not crossed the borders of beastliness, and are rather thousands of times worse than being an animal," Ahmadinejad said in Tehran on Saturday.

He said that when the producers of chemical weapons understood that the bombs in addition to killing people also destroy their farms, manufactured certain bombs which are capable of merely killing living creatures and leaving their wealth intact for the aggressors.

The United States holding the biggest stockpile of chemical weapons in the world refused to meet the international decision that it must have destroyed the weapons by 2012 deadline.

The US said no to all proposals offered by the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) states to speed up the process of annihilating the weapons of mass destruction and that is while it had previously agreed with the demands of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) due to pressures by Iran and supports of the NAM.

The US asserted in several cases that it would not comply with the world demands and would not destroy the weapons within the deadline demanded by the OPCW. This approach has raised serious concerns among member states thus they are pushing more to make the country fulfill its obligations.
