Iran Islamic Republic of,Kyrgyzstan : KYRGYZSTAN ratified MoU on numerous sectors with IRAN.

Kyrgyzstan and Iran inked memorandums of understanding (MoUs) amid a meeting in Bishkek of the joint commission for economic, scientific, technical and cultural partnership.

The MoUs were inked amid the tour of Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi and his discussions with Kyrgyz Minister of Transportation and Communication Zamirbek Aydarov.

The MoUs call for the making of a joint investment council, energy and economic cooperation, agriculture, scientific and technological exchanges.

The Iranian minister likewise met with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev and various high-raking officials amid his tour to Bishkek.

A year ago, the Kyrgyz president paid a trip to Tehran where he met with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani.

Iranian and Kyrgyz authorities held discussions on cooperation in various arenas, comprising the construction of a new railway track linking Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and China.
