Iran Attneds AgroMinitech Expo 2010.

The Head of chamber of commerce and industry of Tashkent, Shavkat Mirzaev, said "the economic and commercial relations between Iran and Uzbekistan are improving at the moment. The visits made by the two countries' tradesmen and entrepreneurs play a key role in expansion of bilateral ties."

"Currently more than 120 Iran-Uzbekistan joint companies are operating in Uzbekistan in the fields of technology, building materials, food, export, import and other fields with the investment of Iranian investors."

The assistant secretary of the chamber of commerce, industry and mines of Iran's Qom province Gholam Hossein Allahyari, for his part, referred to the already agreements between Iran and Uzbekistan and hailed growing ties between the two countries.

According to him, rich agricultural resources and infrastructures in Uzbekistan and Iran's achievements in various industrial sectors could pave the way for expanding ties between the two countries' craftsmen and business people.

"Such ties could result in the development of both countries," he added.

The visiting Iranian delegation including tradesmen, craftsmen and business people active in various economic fields and industries (such as plastic, rubber, shoe, marketing and development of foreign trade, agriculture, copper, washing machine and spares, industrial oils, meat, aviculture, cable and clothing) arrived in Uzbekistan to attend AGROMINITECH Expo 2010 in Tashkent planned for May 19 a" 22.
