Iran, Turkey Cooperate on Geology and Exploration.

The Deputy of Iranian Geology and Mineral Explorations Organization Behrouz Borna has said Iran and Turkey enjoy many similarities in regard to geology and Metallogy, adding more information should be exchanged by the two organizations on the fields so that the utmost capacities could be used.

Borna made remarks in his meeting with Turkish relevant officials in Iran's Geology and Mineral Explorations Organization where the two sides discussed different ways to cooperate in the specific field.

Iranian official pointed to the seminars held on exploration in the country, added different seminars have been held on geology and exploration and the plans are set for another one by the next 6 months.

Borna noted Iran holds a great capacity on exploring mines especially cooper mines, adding 630 million tons crude copper exist in the world, 30 million tons of which lies in Iran which puts it third in Asia after Indonesia and Mongolia and 17th in the world.
