Iran, Kyrgyzstan Confer on Expansion of Cultural Ties.

Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran and Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday discussed ways to expand the two countries' cultural ties.

The issue was discussed in a meeting between Iran's Ambassador to Bishkek Manouchehr Morradi and the Chairman of Iran-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Association, Abdulhalim Rahim Janov in Bishkek.Speaking in an exclusive interview with FNA, Rahim Janov said that the two countries' capacities have not been properly utilized to introduce their achievements in culture, economy, art and sports.Regarding his meeting with Morradi, the Kyrgyz official said, "During the meeting, we negotiated about the main grounds for the society's activity, and Iran's envoy offered proper ways to expand the society's cultural activity through attracting (and involving) capabilities of the two countries' relevant bodies and institutions."He further pointed to the recent projects carried out by Iran in the Central Asia, and said that inauguration of a highly equipped medical center for heart surgery and cardiac diseases in Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan, has proved Tehran's capability to implement major plans in Central Asia.The Abu Ali Sina (Avicenna) hospital in Dushanbe built by the Iranian private sector and run by the most skillful Iranian physicians and nurses is unique in the Central Asia.
