Ion mobility spectrometry, 2d ed. (CD-ROM inclued)
Eiceman, Gary Alan & Z. Karpas.
Eiceman (New Mexico State U.-Las Cruces) and Karpas (Nuclear Research Center, Beer-Sheva, Israel) revise and expand their monograph to incorporate the transformation in the visibility, utilization, and fundamental understand of ion mobility spectrometry during the decade since the first edition. They cover the history, theory, and basic principles; and the technology. Then they survey applications, among them forensic, military, security, and counterrorism; biological, biomolecular research and medical; industrial and environmental monitoring; and feasible applications such as occupational hygiene and air quality, fugitive emissions from industrial activity, smoke alarms that identify combustion sources, surface analysis and adsorbed layers, and analyzing aerosols and electric mobility. A final chapter looks at barriers to advances and future developments. The disk contains a bibliography, tables, data libraries, and other material.
