Ioan voices new children's show.

HOLLYWOOD star Ioan Gruffudd practised his lines for his latest TV role on new daughter Ella Betsi, he said yesterday.

The Fantastic Four star can be heard narrating Igam Ogam, a new Welsh language show for pre-school children.

Gruffudd recorded his part via a link between Sound Works Studio in Cardiff and a studio near his LA home.

To help him prepare, he read the scripts to Ella Betsi, to whom his Lost actress wife Alice Evans gave birth in September.

Ioan Gruffudd, 35, said he was delighted when Cardiff-based animation company Calon TV approached him.

"They have a great record of high-quality animation for young children and I hope Ella Betsi will become a fan," he said.

"She seemed to enjoy the scripts."

Igam Ogam, about a pigtailed cavegirl, premieres on S4C on Monday.
