Investor relations firm announced.

HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 26, 1996--Michael Pratt, president of Point of Care Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ BB:PCIT) announced Tuesday that Network Investor Communications Inc., headquartered in Reno, Nev., has been named as the company's investor relations firm.

According to Pratt, public response to Point of Care's products and the interest shown in the company by investors and the financial community is all very positive. "We look forward to working with Network Investors Communications in communicating our progress to investors, the financial community and industry partners," he said.

Bob Deller, president of Network Investor Communications Inc. said "I am particularly interested in Point of Care's enabling platform technologies out of which the `Fingerprint Drug Abuse' and `Genie Cup' products were developed.

Beginning operations in 1996, Point of Care Technologies Inc. develops, manufactures, and markets rapid and accurate disposable screening and diagnostic products specifically designed for laboratory, near patient, and point of care applications.

The Fingerprint Drugs of Abuse product is based on the patented Ligand/Receptor Binding Assay technology which detects a wide spectrum of substances in body fluids. The Genie Cup is a fully integrated sample collection, transportation, storage, and testing device with a unique and proprietary fluid processing system.
