Investment push pays off.

MANAMA: The Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) attracted 40 regional and international companies with investments worth BD106 million in Bahrain last year, said the government. These companies are expected to provide 1,647 job opportunities in the local market in the coming years.

EDB's offices abroad promote investment opportunities in the kingdom and attract foreign companies in various sectors. EDB attracted 22 firms with investments worth BD53.6m in 2015.

This came in reply to parliament concerning the appointment of commercial attachAaAaAeA@s at Bahrain embassies based in the world's most powerful economi in attract investments.
