Investigation into fatality on 'death mountain' TELLY.

IN May 1999, 22-year-old mountaineer Michael Matthews died after becoming the youngest Briton to conquer the summit of Mount Everest.

This documentary examines various aspects of the ill-fated expedition, including footage shot by Michael's fellow climbers, and asks whether the tragedy could have been avoided.

Michael became the 162nd person to die on Mount Everest after his record-breaking ascent. Fellow team-mates claim the fault was due to bad organisation and serious oxygen problems.
