Inventors forum set for Dec. 5.

The Arkansas Department of Economic Development will sponsor an Inventors' Forum on Dec. 5, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service at 2301 S. University Ave. in Little Rock.

The forum will provide information on turning an idea for a unique service or new product into a reality. Subjects under discussion include protecting intellectual property, patents, state lending programs and commercialization.

The agenda consists of brief presentations from a patent attorney, a successful inventor, small-business specialists and representatives

of state government agencies dealing with issues important to inventors. After the presentations, the speakers will take questions from attendees for one hour.

Admission is free, but registration is required. To register, call Donna Harris at ADED at (501) 682-5060 or e-mail dharris@1800arkansas.com.
