Intesa Sanpaolo (ISE: ISP) (ISP.MI) has no plans to sell its insurance and asset management unit Banca Fideuram, Dow Jones has reported citing a spokesman for the Italian lender.
'Intesa Sanpaolo reiterates that it aims to find a solution and further boost Fideuram's value,' the unnamed spokesman said.
Last year, Intesa Sanpaolo chief executive Corrado Passera said that the bank was considering listing Banca Fideuram, and the bank's spokesman reiterated that the company believes 'the listing of Fideuram remains the ideal way to create value, at the right time.'
