Intertrust N.V. (EUR: INTER), a global provider of trust, corporate and fund services, has said that it has appointed Sara Jonker-Douwes as managing director Intertrust Netherlands and as member of the executive committee of Intertrust Group, subject to regulatory approval.

Jonker-Douwes replaces Dick Niezing, who has announced his decision to step down at the end of this year. Since 2012, Niezing has been with Intertrust as managing director of the Netherlands.

Jonker-Douwes has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, particularly within trust and corporate services. She currently serves as CEO Corporate Services Continental Europe and managing director Netherlands at Link Group, an Australia stock listed fund and corporate services provider. She was previously at Capita Asset Services since 2013, prior to its acquisition by Link Group. During her career, Jonker-Douwes has also held various commercial and managerial roles at SGG Group, Orangefield and ING (NYSE: ING) (INGA.AS).

Intertrust has a network of 39 offices in 28 jurisdictions across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle-East. Intertrust's services include corporate services, fund services, capital market services, and private wealth services. Intertrust has market positions in selected markets, including the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Jersey, and the Cayman Islands.
