Antonius (sociology, U. of Quebec-Montreal) presents a textbook for an introductory course in quantitative research methods for the social sciences that integrates statistics, research methodology, and the use of the SPSS software package. This second edition includes new chapters that are a little more advanced. Other changes include using version 19 of SPSS, a reorganization so that inferential statistics come before statistical association, and the chapter on statistical association has been expanded to three chapters.
