Interpack proves a success.
P.E. Labellers SpA. met with outstanding success at the recent Interpack 2008 international exhibition with special interest in the Rollmatic, new generation roll-fed labelling machine. The Rollmatic labelling machine is available in different versions for speeds ranging from 12000 to 72000cph and is suitable to handle labels made of various materials such as paper, paper laminates, polystyrene-polypropylene-polyethylene compounds, etc.
The machine is equipped with a double roll rest complete with an automatic web-tensioning device, which can be called up automatically from the format menu according to label dimension.
An independent servomotor, interacting with the notch detecting photocell, controls the film drive and adjusts the label dispensing speed by comparing the actual printing speed with the speed stored in the format menu.
The label cut is performed by static and a rotary knife, which can be used alternatively on the four sides. Once the label is positioned on the transfer roller, it is held by a suction system while the glue is being distributed on both label ends and it is then applied on the container. A patented system stops the vacuum drum in case of a missing bottle.
Due to the special design of the glue tank, completely separated from the structure of the glue roller, the cleaning and maintenance operations are very easy. The glue roller features a scraping system that does not require any adjustment and ensures a constant and thin glue layer.
Special attention has also been paid to the general maintenance operations, reducing to the minimum the parts requiring lubrication and centralizing in just one spot all the greasing points.
