Internationally Acclaimed Artist Wajih Nahle to Present Painting Exhibition During the Arizona Fine Art EXPO Art Walk on Feb. 4.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Fine Art EXPO, a production of Thunderbird Artists of Fountain Hills, Ariz., the leading provider of fine art festivals and wine tasting events in the Southwest, announced today that Wajih Nahle, a world-renowned abstract painter from Paris, will stage a painting exhibition during the Art Walk at the Arizona Fine Art EXPO on Feb. 4. The free demonstration will take place under the venue's special-event tent from 6-9 p.m.

During the three-hour viewing, Nahle will showcase his flamboyant technique, highlighted by a deep vision of spirituality, by completing an acrylic painting on a large canvas. As with all his works of art, the theme will remain a mystery until the painting process begins. "The inspiration for my work comes from my soul, from my imagination," said Nahle, who at 73 years old, has been painting for 55 years. "When I look at a white canvas, I can feel energy explode."

A member of France's International Artist Association, Nahle's canvasses are found in numerous museums, galleries and private collections throughout the world. His painting, "Spiritual Vision," was awarded the grand prize for abstraction at the Louvre's Expo Artec in 2003, and he currently has a painting displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Nahle is currently showing his paintings at the Arizona Fine EXPO through March 27. Also exhibiting at the EXPO is his son, Wahid Nahle. Like his father, Wahid works in acrylics. The Mesa, Ariz., artist has been displaying his abstract artwork throughout the United States and Europe since 1986. Locally, his paintings are now showing at the Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale, Ariz.
